Car Keys + Ty = A Wonderful Monday

So it's Monday Morning, (the worst morning of all!) I'm running late to work and of course my car keys are no where to be found! I grab Bud's keys and run out of the house, my car is parked in back of his! Bud gets out of bed and we are turning the house upside down in search of my missing car keys. While we are looking in Tylers toy boxes, the washer & drying, trash cans... Tyler rolls out of bed and walks over to our Christmas tree. He grabs a little box and hands it to me and says, "Mommy I was giving this to you for Christmas." Inside the box are my missing keys! How could I get mad at that! After all of this, I had the best Monday ever thinking about how blessed I am to have such a beautiful, healthy and adorable little boy to call my son!

Birthday Pictures

I loved how these turned out! Ty is such a ham in front of a camera...(he gets that from his mom!)

Tyler's 3rd Birthday

Our little baby boy is now a THREE year old! Every year I tell my self I'm not going to go all out for his party... but every year I do. I couldn't go without throwing him a Lightnigh McQueen Party...as obcessed as he is with that movie! It was a great day with family and friends and Ty had a blast as you can tell by the last picture of the day...

New Family Pictures

One of my favorite photographer and dear friend Alicia was in town and I was so excited for her to take our family pictures this year. But it was scheduled for the only day of the year that is pours! Just my luck of course! So off to Kiddie Kandids we go...

Bud's Big 3-0!

Bud turned the BIG 3-0 in October! And we celebrated ALL month long! We started the celebration with a trip to Viva Las Vegas with some of Buds closest friends. I also threw him a bash at the Gaslamp on his actual Birthday...needless to say we both were coming down with the swine flu that day but we made it through the party and had a great time... hopefully not passing on the flu as a party favor!

Wedding Glance

Bud and I were blessed with one of the most perfect wedding days two people in love could have ever asked for. If it was not for all of the love and support from all of our amazing family and friends it never would have come together like it did. Our photographers rocked! My fav was Alicia with TheModernType Photography... you can visit her blog at http://www.themoderntype.com/ Since I have over 4,000 amazing pictures... I thought I would share some of my favs little by little. Enjoy... I love looking back on this amazing day!

"Mommy, I HATE the Potty!"

So our wonderful Tyler is three and every parenting book and blog says it is the perfect time to start Potty Training your child. Well, if Tyler was writing that book, it would be a whole different story! When he was two and a half, I tried introducing the "Big Boy" underwear and potty, he did great for an entire week! We had a chart with happy face stickers, "Potty Prizes," had a Potty Parade the works! But after that week he decided the potty was boring and wanted nothing to do with it. Almost a year later, he still has no interest. He understands it's the right thing to do, but Mr. Smarty Pants thinks of every excuse possible to avoid it. For example: "Mommy, the potty is to big for my little butt.", so he gets a cool Lightning McQueen Cars Potty and he says, " Mommy, Lightning McQueen is my friend, I can't Potty on him!" and the best one yet... "Diapers smell so good Mommy, I LOVE them!"

Our First Blog

Welcome family & friends to the Smith Family Blog! Bud and I thought this was a great way for our loved ones to keep in touch and stay connected to our very busy but blessed life together. 2009 has been a wonderful year for our family. In March our family finally became one as Bud and I exchanged our vows in front of 120 of our closest family and friends. Buds career as a profession baseball coach and instructor took a new turn as he decided to return to his alma mater, St. John Bosco as a pitching coach. (He also turned the big 3-0 this year!) Tyler had his THIRD birthday, he is getting bigger and cuter by the minute! Angela has found a new love of photography and had her first trip to NEW YORK! We have been so blessed and have so many more wonderful memories to share. We hope you enjoy our new family blog! - xoxo The Smiths.
