Tyler's Easter Pictures

Since Mommy is getting pretty good with this photography thing I decided to skip the portrait studio and take Tyler's Easter portraits myself. A lot of people say that Tyler must be soooo good at taking pictures, they are always so cute. Well, he does take great pictures but the process is not exactly a walk in the park. He is so sick of mommy and her camera that it is really hard for me to get him to give me a good smile or sit still for  like 5 seconds!

I thought it would be fun to spend some time together and take a walk and a few pictures in the El Derado Nature Center. Tyler loved the walk but when it came time to take a few pictures he wasn't having it! I had to bribe him with everything under the sun to just get a few good shots. In the end I absolutely love these pictures. The way the sun highlighted his beautiful hair and they way he looks so grown up just takes my breathe away! I love my little stinker and cherish the few chances he gives me to photograph him.

The Three Musketeers and Valentines Cookies!

We always have so much fun when hanging out with the Joyce's! Tyler just loooooves his BFF Wyatt and girlfriend Avery! Lisa always creates fun and yummy activities for the kids for every holiday. The kids had so much fun making and eating their Valentines cookies, little Ella was adorable too!

Happy New Year!

With everything going on this year we thought staying home this year with our wonderful mothers and Tyler would be the best way to ring in the new year. Grandma was getting better and better by the day and we had hopes that this new year would bring her a fast recovery.

I must say, Bud and I have had some amazing New Year celebrations with our friends out on the town, but this one at home with family was my all time favorite. We had yummy snacks, watched the New Year's Eve shows on TV and played Monopoly. I brought out the fun hats, horns and poppers right before the count down and Tyler and his Grandma's had a blast. I have hopes that this new year will bring better health and happiness for the ones we love. Happy New Year!

Christmas at the Smiths!

The holidays are my absolute favorite time of year. Even with my Grandmother barely hanging on in the hospital I was determined to make this Christmas extra special for our little guy. Between daily visits to the Hospital, work, etc., we managed to pull it off (thanks to Amazon where I did ALL of my Christmas shopping ... gotta love the no tax and free shipping!)

We went to the Christmas Eve services at the Crystal Cathedral. It has been a tradition with Buds family and one of my favorite. It is an absolute beautiful service and the pastor always pulls through with an inspirational message.

Christmas morning was priceless with Tyler opening ALL of his presents (I went a little overboard on Amazon!) he was so excited with every gift and the smile on his face and adorable reactions just warmed my heart. After presents my Mom, brother and I went to visit Grandma and wish her a Merry Christmas. It was very emotional but with a lot of preyers and hugs we had hope that she would pull through.

With everything going on with my Grandma I really wanted to stay home, plus it was our first Christmas in our new home. We had a wonderful and yummy dinner with everyone pitching in and had lots of fun and laughter opening gifts with our family. We are so truly blessed with the love of our family.
